Frequently Asked Questions

Certain types of auto parts can be recycled or, more specifically, re-manufactured for future sale. These parts have a core price that is used as a form of deposit on the portion of the part that can be re-manufactured and that is designed to encourage return of the old part. The "core," simply put, is your old part. Returning cores can save you money on replacement parts.

All of our parts have a condition description. This can range from simple directional information such as the part belonging to the driver or passenger side, to ARA damage codes that indicate location, type, and severity of damage. All damage codes are based on the ARA Damage Locator ( as shown below. They are a 3 digit code (Example: a front door with a parking lot ding in the center area which is smaller than one credit card should be described as 5P1). Any part with no damage should be described as 000. A salesperson can clarify or further describe condition to you upon request.
